Cryopen uses a fine probe to deliver a precise burst of nitrous oxide, freezing unwanted skin lesions at extremely low temperatures. The healthy skin around them is left alone. It's a quick, low-fuss way to deal with skin tags, warts, verrucae, age spots, milia and similar concerns without surgery, cutting or stitches.

The probe applies freezing only to the lesion itself. The surrounding skin isn't affected, which matters particularly for anything on the face or in a prominent location.
Each lesion takes a matter of seconds to treat. No anaesthetic, no cutting, no complicated preparation. The appointment is usually over in 30 minutes.

It falls off naturally as the treated tissue dies and the skin heals. There's no picking required and no wound to manage in the way there would be with a surgical removal.
Your appointment starts with a consultation where we examine the lesion, confirm it's suitable for cryotherapy, and explain what to expect. During treatment, the probe is held close to or gently against the lesion for a few seconds. You'll feel an intense cold sensation, possibly with some stinging. It's brief but noticeable. Most sessions run around 30 minutes depending on how many lesions are being treated. Straight after, the treated area goes white, then red, and may develop a small blister. Over the following days it darkens, scabs and eventually falls off. Full healing takes 1 to 4 weeks depending on the type and location of the lesion. Some lesions need a second or third treatment spaced a few weeks apart.
Cryopen typically heals cleanly with little or no scarring, particularly when aftercare instructions are followed. The precision of the probe helps keep the treatment zone small.
Most lesions that would previously have required a GP or dermatologist visit for removal can be treated here without a surgical referral or an incision.
There's no recovery period to factor in. Most people go straight back to their day after treatment. The healing happens in the background over the following weeks.
Private surgical removal of skin tags or lesions tends to be considerably more expensive. Cryopen delivers comparable outcomes at a lower price point.
