After exfoliation, we apply concentrated hydrating products that absorb properly into freshly cleared skin. This makes a bigger difference than just moisturising on top of dead skin.
Beautylab products contain higher concentrations of active ingredients than what you can buy over the counter, so they work more effectively on stubborn skin issues.
We check your skin first to decide which products and approach to use. The bodycare treatments involve a thorough exfoliation followed by masks and serums to improve texture and hydration. For the glycolic back treatment, we apply alpha hydroxy acid to the skin of your back to clear congestion, unclog pores, and smooth out rough or bumpy texture. You may feel a mild tingle as the acid works, which is normal. We keep an eye on how your skin responds and adjust if needed. The deluxe version adds extra massage time and more nourishing steps. Most people notice smoother, softer skin straight away, and it continues to improve over the next few days as the dead skin finishes shedding.
Your skin feels smoother and looks clearer immediately after the treatment. The improvement continues over the next week as cell turnover catches up.
The glycolic concentrations and active ingredients used in these treatments are stronger than retail versions, which is why they need to be applied by a trained therapist.
