We start by discussing whether you are after facial rejuvenation or hair restoration, then examine the treatment area and explain the process. A small blood sample is taken from your arm, just like a routine blood test. That blood goes into a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and growth factors. While that is processing, the treatment area is cleansed and numbed with topical anaesthetic if needed. The concentrated PRP is then injected into targeted areas using fine needles. You will feel small pinpricks and slight pressure. For facial treatments, we often combine PRP with microneedling for better absorption. The whole process takes 45 to 60 minutes including preparation. Afterwards, expect redness, mild swelling, and possible pinpoint bleeding, which typically settles within 24 to 48 hours. Results develop gradually over 4 to 8 weeks as your growth factors get to work. Most people need 2 to 3 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
