Sclerotherapy is an injectable treatment that collapses thread veins and spider veins on the legs, face, and body. A fine solution is injected directly into the vein, causing it to seal shut and gradually disappear over the following weeks. No surgery, no lasers, no lengthy recovery.
Book Your Sclerotherapy Treatment

Once a vein collapses and your body absorbs it, it's gone. New veins can develop elsewhere over time, but the treated ones don't come back.
Sclerotherapy is done with a fine needle. There's no incision, no anaesthetic, and no operating theatre. Most people find it straightforward and are back to normal activity the same day.
Thread veins on the legs are the most common concern, but sclerotherapy also works on the face, chest, and hands. We'll confirm suitability during your consultation.
Treated veins fade permanently. The results aren't a temporary fix, though genetics and lifestyle mean new veins can form elsewhere over the years.
Your appointment starts with an examination of the veins you want treated, confirming they're suitable for sclerotherapy. We'll walk you through what's involved before anything begins. The treatment itself uses very fine needles to inject a sclerosing solution into each visible vein. You'll feel small pinpricks and possibly some mild stinging or cramping as the solution takes effect. The session takes around 30 minutes depending on how many veins are being treated. Straight after, treated veins often look darker or more prominent before they start to fade. Compression stockings are usually recommended for leg veins to support the process. Fading happens gradually over 3 to 12 weeks as your body absorbs the treated vessels. Most people need 2 to 4 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, and the occasional top-up for any stubborn areas.

Thread veins on the legs are something a lot of people quietly avoid showing. Getting them treated means shorts, skirts, and swimwear without worrying about it.
Most people go straight back to their day. Strenuous exercise is worth avoiding for a few days, and compression garments help the process along on leg veins.
On areas with a lot of surface veins, clearing them makes a real difference to how the skin looks overall, not just in the spots that were most obvious.
Sclerotherapy generally costs less than laser vein removal, and it works well on the types of veins most people are looking to treat.
