Waxing removes hair from the root, so you get three to six weeks of smooth skin. That is a lot longer than shaving, which grows back within days.
Over time, regular waxing weakens the hair follicle. The regrowth is softer, thinner, and less noticeable than what you get from shaving.
Waxing gives a much smoother finish than shaving, without the risk of cuts, nicks, or that rough stubble feeling the next day.
Proper waxing technique pulls hair out cleanly from the root, which reduces the chance of ingrown hairs compared to shaving.
We will check what areas you want done and if you have any concerns about sensitivity. The skin is cleaned and prepped, then warm wax is applied in the direction of hair growth and removed against it. There is some discomfort when the wax is pulled, but our therapists work quickly and can adjust their approach if you are finding it too much. We use hot wax for more sensitive areas like bikini and face, and strip wax for larger areas like legs. Afterwards, we apply something soothing to calm the skin and reduce redness. Most people find it more manageable than they expected, and the smooth results make it worthwhile.
We use fresh applicators for every stroke and follow strict hygiene standards throughout the treatment.
We choose between hot wax and strip wax based on where we are waxing and how sensitive your skin is. It makes a difference to comfort and results.
Not having to shave every day or two saves time and means you do not have to think about it for weeks at a stretch.
Some areas are awkward or sensitive to do at home. Having it done by someone experienced means better coverage and less irritation.
